More about ATCL- Aero vista contract:
Air Tanzania has already returned the Boeing 737-500, 4L-AJB to  the lessor  Aero Vista due to the cancellation of the contract. The plane leased from Aero Vista had arrived on Saturday 13th May 2012 at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam as a short-term plan to enhance the firm’s service delivery. Unfortunately things didn't work out fine as it couldn't bring about the intended profit and rather the company realized it was a loss, so they suspended flights then followed by cancelling the contract earlier in august, 2012.

On the other hand, ATCL expects to be back on the other routes using its Dash-8 Q300 plane after the completion of the heavy maintenance exercise that is undergoing at the ATCL’s Hangar at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salam.
