Air Seychelles launches flights to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

Air Seychelles Airbus A320-200 "Amirantes" at JNIA, Dar Es Salaam.

Air Seychelles, the official airline of the Indian Ocean Tourist Island of Seychelles has on Tuesday launched its flights between Victoria, Seychelles and Dar es salaam, Tanzania.

The inaugural flight was operated by the company’s new Airbus A320 dubbed as “Amirantes” in honour of a group of coral islands discovered in the Seychelles archipelago in the 16th century. The aircraft has a seating capacity of 120 seats in its economy class and 16 in business class.

Flights will be twice a week.

The flights between the two cities will be of two hours and twenty minutes flying time.

Dar es salaam becomes a third destination in Air Seychelles’ Indian Ocean and African network, after Mauritius and Johannesburg in the Southern African region.
