JOB VACANCY AT PRECISION AIR - QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR TRAINEE

POSITION: QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR – TRAINEE (1 POSITION)

REPORTS TO: QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

DUTY STATION: DAR ES SALAAM

ROLE PURPOSE OF THE STATEMENT:

Perform continuous surveillance to technical activities, processes and systems to ensure compliance with TCAA and Precision Air standards for safe and efficient maintenance of aircraft, components and equipment for optimum airline operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSBILITIES:

The recruited candidate will undergo training to qualify and be assigned job functions in the Quality Assurance division which includes the following duties:-

Responsible to the Manager Quality Engineering for: -

Random checks on the Hangar, Line Maintenance and Workshops for adherence to the laid down procedures and standards.

·        Ensures that inspections performed on airframe, engines and components are in accordance with Company Policies and procedures, maintenance manuals and approved technical data  

·        Monitors workmanship and materials to verify that the Company and TCAA rules, regulations, and standards are complied with.

·        Ensures that receiving inspections of incoming parts, components, equipment supplies and materials is completed in accordance with the Company Maintenance Procedures Manual (MPM).

·        Ensure assistance in the classification of repairs and alterations in relation to Major or Minor Repairs. Ensure appropriate forms are completed to document any major repair or alteration.

·        Monitors/audits aircraft inspection reports, log pages and records for accuracy and completeness of entries prior to being sent to the Aircraft Records Department.

·        Conducts daily audits of aircraft work packages including checks/inspections forms, log pages, routines and non-routines, modification orders, etc. to ensure completion, correctness, use of appropriate references to approved data in all entries and forms.

·        Monitors the safety and housekeeping of the work areas.

·        Interact with Technical Records Sections with regards to aircraft records compliance.

·        Participating in periodic audit of all Technical Divisions and outstations and daily audit of maintenance paperwork generated in the Hangar and Line maintenance. Ensuring accomplishment of all these inspection duties within scheduled time, without compromising safety.

·        Responsible of inspection duties in the Hangar, Line Maintenance and stores.

·        Ensuring proper recording and certification of all maintenance activities on the Aircraft.

·        Ensuring high standard of Airworthiness is maintained in all Precision Air Aircraft.

·        Ensuring use of appropriate tools, equipment, manuals, Techniques and methods for Inspection and maintenance of Aircraft.

·        Ensuring duplicate Inspection on Engines and flight controls is carried out at the base.

·        Ensuring that maintenance work is performed in accordance with the standards and procedures of the Approved Maintenance Schedule.

·        Ensuring Approved Maintenance Schedules, comply with the applicable TCARs, TCAA requirements, and directives from Foreign Airworthiness Authorities if they are applicable to Precision Air Aircraft.

·        Ensuring issuance of Release Certificates (CRS) after Hangar checks and ensuring that all C of A documents are on board the Aircraft before final release to service.

·        Ensuring all components and equipments are properly labelled

·        Ensuring proper inspection coverage in areas where airworthiness may be affected such as fuel tanks, compliance with MODs, ADs or SBs, structural repairs, corrosion control, power plant installation, flight control surfaces installation, duplicate inspection, landing gear retraction checks and Engine ground runs.

·        Participation in Auditing work being done on Aircraft during Hangar checks and ensuring that work is completed and paper work promptly signed and certified soon after each task has been completed.

·        Participation in Engine ground runs, observing and recording of all Engine parameters.

·        Ensuring Engine run and component change sheets are available and are appropriately signed and certified after completion of each task.

·        Ensuring final walk around checks are performed and all mandatory documents are valid and on board prior to releasing the Aircraft for service.

·        Ensure all the maintenance manuals are updated.

·        Enforcing company and Regulations requirements which relate to Airworthiness of Aircraft.

·        Responsible as reference to Safety Management Manual [SMM] Doc ref. PW/CM/002 Chapter 1.6.2[i]-[vii].

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 Diploma/FTC in either Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications.

 Engineering degree and aircraft engineering background would be an added advantage.

 Broad overview of the maintenance system

 Computer literate, must be proficient in Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and internet.

 Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

 Company Indoctrination, MPM training required

 Must receive General Familiarization Training on all airframe operated by the company.
