POSITION:                   Line Maintenance Manager  - One (1 Position)

REPORTS TO:              Head of Maintenance

DUTY STATION:          DAR ES SALAM

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be reporting to Technical Director Precision Air Services Ltd. Please take note of your responsibilities.

ROLE PURPOSE OF THE STATEMENT

Ensure that the audit programme is fully complied with and that reports are furnished in order to alert management of any non compliant findings in respect of TCAA requirements for continued sustenance of air operators’ certificate

·         Ensure adequate copies of technical log book shall be carried on board the aircraft in place readily accessible to each flight crew member.

·         Ensuring that all maintenance carried out in the hangar is carried out in accordance with the approved maintenance schedule or programme.

·         Committing to the development and implementation of the quality management system and continually improving its effectiveness.

·         Such other duties as may be assigned by his senior.

·         Ensure that sufficient resources are available and controlled to ensure on time completion of hangar workload.

·         Ensure efficient on time completion of hangar workshop activities

·         Ensure compliance with maintenance processes and procedures as per the regulatory requirements.

·         Develop and implement systems and procedures that will enhance an industrial safety environment in the hangar and the workshops.

·         Plan and control the section budget.

·         Signing of aircraft release upon satisfactory completion of maintenance activities.

·         Ensure that the applied resources comply with the regulatory requirements to maintain high safety / airworthiness standards.

·         Develop staff under his/her control

·         Accountable to the Manager Quality Engineering in a matrix function on exercising his / her certification privileges.

·         Ensure staffs are deployed within the concept of human performance limitations.

·         Responsible for the implementation of safety management systems processes.

·         Responsible for technical log book entries for the rectification of any defect which has been entered in a technical log book and signing a Maintenance Release in respect of that defect entered.

·         Such other duties as may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

•  Must be a licensed Maintenance Engineer with appropriate ratings or approval in airframes and engines or avionics
• Must have at least eight (8) years experience in Maintenance activities with a minimum of five (5) years experience in maintaining the same category of aircraft including one (1) year in the capacity of returning aircraft to service.
•  Must have attended Management or Supervisory Course.
• Must have received type training on every aircraft maintained with the approved scope of the Approved Maintenance Organization.
