Fastjet has announced that tickets for their first international route between Dar es salaam and Johannesburg are now on sale.
According to fastjet's blog post, fares on fastjet's first international route start from just 160,000 Tsh (excluding tax and charges) or 1600 ZAR (1045 ZAR plus 555 in government taxes)
Flights commence on 27th September and will operate 3x weekly , flying between Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es salaam and O.R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
Permission to launch international flights from Dar es salaam to South Africa, Zambia and Rwanda were granted to Fastjet by the relevant Governments under the bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASAs) between Tanzania and the other countries.
